Positive: Very large room, quiet and clean property, friendly staff. If you want to try an Onsen but don't feel comfortable with others, the property has 3 private Onsens. When you use one, you lock the door from the inside and can use it for 30 minutes. Little village has a few restaurants.
Negative: The mattresses are too thin and not comfortable.

Positive: The room is spacious and the staff are very welcoming and fluent in English. The onsen bath is very nice and refreshing.
Negative: No breakfast or dinner service which for the price I expected to have even in smaller portions.

Positive: Less than 5 minutes walk to the Hirayu Onsen station, this was the perfect base to visit Kamikochi and Shinhotaka Ropeway. Room was clean, spacious and relaxing. Even though there was no restaurant, there are other options nearby for breakfast and dinner.
Negative: It would have been great if 2 towels could be provided instead of just 1. One dry off after onsen and the other for after bathing.

Negative: No common area onsen, just 3 private ones that you have to just wait for. Quality/cleanliness of it could be better
