Positive: This was the best experience we had in Japan. Beautiful traditional stay with very good food. I don’t eat meat and the hosts were too kind to change the meal for me. The onsen was also very nice. If you would like to experience a traditional style stay, I would recommend booking Ryokan Tanaka. Also, the environment is beautiful there!

Positive: It was an amazing place to experience a typical onsen in Japan. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and authentic japanis style. Food was great. The thermals in the hotel were amazing. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Positive: The staff were extremely attentive to details and made the entire stay feel very warm, welcomed, and comfortable. The dinner & breakfast were top notch and a huge spread. The room was spacious and comfortable for 2. Will definitely want to come back here again if we can!

Positive: The service was warm and friendly. The food was good and the ingredients were of good quality. The bedding was clean and the room was warm.
Negative: The room and facilities had parts that were really worn down, from chipped teapots, stained curtains to grungy bath sinks, and it made the stay kind of depressing.
