Positive: A lovely experience in a great setting. We enjoyed the traditional meals, wearing the clothing provided and the private onsen in our bathroom. We were able to control the temperature as 42 degrees in the public onsen was too hot for us!

Negative: Nothing. But don’t come here expecting your dietary preferences to be catered for. You get what you are given!

Positive: Wonderful amenities with full range of service expected of a Ryokan. Bathhouses are fantastic and with beautiful scenery. We went in early March and the snowfall landscape views were amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in particular was superb - both the arranged meals and the ala carte menu were absolutely tasty and also reasonably price.
