Summary: The hotel staff was wonderful; despite the language barrier, I could truly feel their warmth and hospitality. I was very satisfied with the room facilities and the hot spring (onsen) experience. However, I was quite disappointed with the Hida beef hamburger steak—the bottom was burnt, which was a letdown.

Summary: Beautiful cultural experience. Having your own onsen and choice of the public onsen was very nice. We did not think the seiki breakfasts and dinner were worth the astoundingly expensive price. I would next time not book the meals, exorbitant cost at nearly $300 each time
