Positive: They did an amazing job creating a relaxing environment with the in room onsen and the addition onsen areas. The meals were amazing and it was by far the best food of our entire 16 day trip in Japan

Negative: The food was amazing and the quantities of the multi course meals was almost too much. We didn’t want the food to go to waste so every meal we didn’t our best.

Positive: Absolutely incredible accommodation! The highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the best service we have ever encountered. Most of the staff spoke great English. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and a tasteful mix of modern and traditional Japanese styles. The hot spring in our room was so luxurious, but the private onsens were incredible. There are two, and they do not need to be reserved. The tablet provided in our room told us if they were occupied which made it easy. The views from these are spectacular, overlooking the mountains and a stream. Dinner and breakfast were made using local ingredients and were delicious. We had personal service during both meals and every item was described very thoroughly.

Negative: Everything was great! The private onsens were busy right before dinnertime, but we went early enough that it wasn't an issue!

Positive: Hidden in the mountains, peaceful and tranquil. Two private baths in the room and two other private outdoor baths for use so complete privacy and such a treat. Absolutely beautiful and well designed rooms. Modern yet included lots of traditional Japanese touches. Everything was so well designed in the room and those details don’t go unnoticed. Food was delicious as well, the beef served at dinner was fantastic. Would have loved to stay a couple more nights.

Positive: This will be remembered as one of the most special places I've ever stayed in my life! The room was just divine, so spacious and stylish with traditional finishes and special touches, with a huge picture window looking out onto the snowy landscape. We had our own onsen outside our back door. The tiny little "morning market" a short walk away area was fun to explore. All meals included and also delightful and expansive! Initially I thought of it as a splurge pricewise but when you consider our breakfast and multi course dinner was included it was very reasonable for such a special place. Magical.

Positive: we had the most relaxing stay ever! the food was so delicious, every single bite, and it all felt so luxurious and special. the bath was so beautiful and pleasant; we loved both the bath in our room as well as the private bath that was available off of the main space in the inn.
