Positive: the location was perfect for us as we could walk down to coniston hall camp site and the lake which was the start of our Lakeland trail race. The facilities within the house were great loads of pots and pans and all the essential and extra cooking equipment if you were staying for a full week self catering. very clean and clearly well managed.

Positive: We were staying in the area for my Aunts funeral, the cottage was clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything that we needed. I would thoroughly recommend it for families and we may book it again in the future for a family holiday. Location was easy to find and local to all that we needed.

Negative: The shower over the bath had poor pressure and kept changing temperature. So the 4 of us just used the shower in the en suite which was much better. May be a problem if you had a houseful of people. The food in the pub down the road was not the best, acceptable but not great.

Summary: The cottage suited all our needs and we are looking to book again in the future.

Positive: Very spacious with lovely views to the hills. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need and I’ve never seen a better equipped kitchen in a holiday home.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Larger than we expected, well stocked (cutlery, foil, cleaning products, etc). The walks box was a particular favourite and we managed to do a different one each day. Garden well kept and good size, but would recommend making it dog secure (chicken wire or similar).

Negative: A little expensive for just 3 nights, but great facilities and accessories. Fantastic location.
