Positive: Great property in a wonderful location with amazing views. We found getting into the property easy; the hosts were amenable to an early check in and quick to respond. The property was great value for money and we enjoyed our stay.

Negative: The property was not very well cleaned. There were many cobwebs on the ceiling and some areas were dusty. The carpet was particularly unclean and in one of the bedrooms there was a toenail clipping on full display.

Summary: Lovely location and building but it should have been cleaner.

Negative: Could have been a little cleaner but basics were absolutely clean enough just quite a few cobwebs and dust in places but it didn’t affect our visit

Positive: Location suited us perfectly. Good layout for three generations of family. Outside space was good.

Negative: Upstairs toilet seat. Dining chair screws need tightening. Lack of handbook. If taking a baby or toddler check that bannister rail upright has been repaired.

Positive: Fabulous location, with walks on door step including river, waterfalls and Old Man of Coniston. Very near to Lake Coniston (Wild Cat Island) and other sites of interest like Beatrix Potter's Hill Top, Hawkeshead, Tarn Hows. Not that far from coast too and Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Great pub a few doors down serving local ales and good food. Clean, comfy beds. Warm house with a nice log burner. Two main bathrooms plus another toilet and sink. Good for families with kids. Despite some issues, we really enjoyed our stay.

Negative: Towels had slight smell of cigarette smoke. Issue with drain and tumble dryer during our stay but resolved by property management team who responded quickly once we got hold of them. A very kind and efficient handyman arrived. Tumble dryer replaced. Drains cleared.

Summary: Fabulous location. Warm, comfortable house.

Negative: Not as clean as properties we’ve stayed at before and only had 3 wine glasses! In a house for 10 people! We had to borrow some from the pub.

Positive: Loved the house which is very spacious and well maintained. The fireplace was a lovely addition.

Negative: There is no outside light by the garage so it makes navigating in the dark tricky, even parking up and unpacking. Also most of the rooms had bedside lights that didn't work.

Positive: The location was ok The beds comfy Lots of space Showers hot and powerful

Negative: The driveway is very tight and hard to get in and out the property sleeps 10 so we had 3 cars we could only park 2 Cleanliness ok but could of been better The decor dated and dark We where in Coniston for a wedding and visited other people accommodation and ours was definitely the least homely and the most tired

Summary: It was ok that’s all I can say ( wedding and weather however were amazing )
