Positive: A lovely homestay, made to feel very welcome. The family room was very good which comprised of two bedrooms and a bathroom. We had a large double bed and the children (age 11 and 13) had a room each with a double bed. The pool was lovely and you were able to watch the sun set from it. It is in a great location, with many restaurants on the doorstep, we particularly liked the Bamboo Restaurant and the Indian. You can also walk (less than 5 mins) to the boat station for Phong Nha caves. Another tip, visit the Duck Stop- we have never laughed so much!! The family couldn’t do anything more for us. We paid them for a return journey to the train station, they gave us use of the washing machine and even brought in our washing when it rained as we were out. One day they acted as our driver to take us to Paradise and Dark Cave- a great day out! Breakfast was included and was good. We caught the sleeper train to our next destination so didn’t leave the property until 10pm, they very kindly gave us use of another room for the day. Truly wonderful people!

Positive: Hosts so friendly and helpful. Nice rooms with a pool outside ours. Gardens and outside eating areas with fans and plant canopies. It was lovely. In town so very short walk to restaurants, supermarket and bank.

However, what truly set this homestay apart was the staff – hands down the best we’ve ever encountered. The owners were simply amazing; from the moment we arrived, they made us feel like part of the family. One standout moment was when the owner personally picked us up with his scooter, giving us a thrilling and unforgettable introduction to the area. It’s these personal touches that make all the difference and turn a good stay into an extraordinary one. If you’re looking for a homestay experience that combines great location, excellent facilities, and the warmest hospitality imaginable, look no further than this gem in Phong Nha. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Positive: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dat collected us from the train station . It was easy to book tours and buses. We stayed twice in the same week and both times our rooms were lovely. It is in a great location for restaurants, river and tour pick up.

Positive: The owner of the place was super friendly. He messaged me on WhatsApp to make sure I was aware of excursions and to know what time I would arrive. It makes a great difference when the place owner is so responsive and kind! He even offered to keep our luggage at the hotel days after we checked out and gave us free water.

Negative: For the standard of Pho Nang this place is a good option. I don't have complaints.

Positive: Great location in the middle of Phong Nha village, close to the boat jetty for the caves, with good restaurant options around and a corner shop opposite. The breakfast was delicious (great banana pancakes), and the staff were so friendly. They helped us book our bus, gave us information about local tours, and even rented us their mopeds.

Negative: The pool could have been a little cleaner, but it wasn’t too much of a problem. The room was a little muggy, even with the AC and fan on, but it was raining heavily so this could be why.

Summary: Simple, clean, good value and friendly stay in heart of Phong Nha.

Positive: This place was great! We were extremely impressed with the staff especially Mr. Dat. He went out of his way to arrange tours and transport for us. The room was wonderful with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was really good too. We highly recommend staying here!!!
