Positive: The hosts were wonderful, very nice people, they were very friendly and made sure everything was okay. Tysa the son was very nice and took me surfing on Hiriketiya, I recommend doing it, it was super cool. They also made dinner and breakfast for me, I tried Sri Lanka food, it was delicious. Positive: You’re staying at a room in the family’s house, they are really nice people and super helpful and friendly! They made us really good breakfast every morning. It’s super close to the surf beach and to blue beach which is really beautiful!

Negative: The whole experience was pretty chilled, nothing to complain about.

Positive: Really lovely people who ran the home stay. For a place with a fan it was very good, and the room was a great size. The location is great, a little further out of town, but in a nice way. There’s a 10-15 minute walk into town via the beach which is lovely.

Negative: Honestly no complaints as it’s so affordable.

Positive: I liked the fact that the owners were helpful and supportive. The second we wanted to heat some food and without any hesitation they did so.

Negative: On the first night once we returned from the beach, there was a group that was drinking with music turned on. I have no issue with that but the music was a bit loud and It made it difficult for us to sleep

Summary: Overall everything went smoothly. Would come back :)

Positive: The family is very warm and caring! I felt so welcome and at home, the private room was very nice.

Negative: It's bit further out of the centre of Hiriketiya, but the walk is not long (10 mins) just good to keep in mind!

Summary: Amazing experience, great welcome to Sri Lanka! Great to learn about the culture.
