Positive: Everything about this place was fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, and freshly prepared every morning. The family running the place is truly amazing — incredibly kind, caring, and always ready to help with anything. The room was very spacious and comfortable, easily big enough for four people, with plenty of space to relax. The location is perfect: very close to the center and within easy walking distance of all facilities, restaurants, and shops.

Negative: Nothing at all — everything exceeded our expectations.

Summary: An exceptional stay with warm hospitality, great comfort, and a perfect location. Highly recommended

Positive: An extremely luxurious home stay experience. You’re given full reign of an annex in Hasaral and Hashinis home, being able to come and go as required. Beautifully modern, we’d argue better facilities than some hotels! The owners are a delight, and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is home made to order and an excellent and authentic way to start the day ! 🌺

Positive: The flat was really nice and tidy. Great location, just 4 min away from the beach. Huge breakfast, was brought up every morning in our terrace. But it was the people that made our stay even more special. They took care of everything we needed. Really recommend!

Negative: Unfortunately cold shower, but they were super cute and asked me if I wanted to take a shower in their house

Positive: ur first reaction to the villa was wowww! For the money you pay with breakfast included i am blown away. The villa is spotlessly clean and very up to date. But the hosts really are the ones who make this stay so very special. They are incredibly kind. They gave me and my sister beautiful beach wraparounds and a coconut to welcome us. They sell the wrap skirts online, but we got one each as a gift. If you need a scooter or bicycle they can arrange it for you for a very reasonable price. You can get your laundry done at the villa aswel. A little tip from us: turn of the outside light when you sit on the terrace at night. You will see so many stars and even fireflies! Kudawella beach is just 3 minutes away from the villa and is a nice alternative to the very busy Hiriketiya beach. If you would like to go to Hiriketiya road where many shops and restaurants are it’s also around 3 minutes with the tuktuk. A cute little harbor and blue beach island are just around the corner. We loved our stay here and hope to come back one day!

Negative: I don’t have anything to complain about, anything you need or are missing the hosts will provide for you.

Positive: We had a truly delightful stay at Harbor Moon. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with hot tea on arrival which was a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. The room was spacious spotlessly clean and fitted with brand new modern fixtures. All amenities were top notch and clearly well thought out adding to the comfort of the stay. Breakfast was excellent with three options to choose from including both Sri Lankan and continental choices and it was a great way to start the day.

Negative: The villa is located in a quiet area. On the night of our stay there was a local pirit ceremony nearby which could be heard in the room. However the hosts informed us about this in advance before confirming the booking. Since our stay was only for one night we were comfortable with it and it did not affect our experience.

Summary: Exceptionally warm and welcoming hosts. Brilliant breakfast and great room facilities.

Positive: The people were incredibly kind and made us feel like part of their family, even hugging us warmly. If you are looking for an authentic experience, this is the perfect place to stay. They were also very helpful with arranging taxis and assisting us with communication throughout our stay. On the last day of our trip, they gave us small gifts, which was so sweet and thoughtful. I honestly don’t know how to thank them more than through this review. Moreover, the breakfast was delicious and was served inside the apartment. I would definitely recommend staying here!
