Positive: Fantastic hosts. Very helpful and welcoming. Good Breakfast. Had 2 wonderful massages by Mahesha.Very clean room and garden. Easy walk to beaches.😍

Positive: Mahisha is so sweet, and gives a wonderful massage. Close to the beach and blue beach island which is great for exploring. The room was huge, comfortable beds, good breakfast.

Negative: The beach isn't the best for swimming, at least when we were there. But hiriketiya is not far.

Positive: A bit far from restaurants and other tourists, but right beside blue beach where you can enjoy the sea and Mahee will cook you a delicious meal if you want, so perfect for people to slow down and enjoy.

Negative: Hard to get a tuktuk if you want to go someplace near.

Positive: The most perfect stay! Maheesha the owner is so lovely with a beautiful home. The rooms were perfect and the owners were so accommodating and friendly. Just a short walk away (10-15 mins) from the Main Street in Hiriketiya. It’s also located right next to Blue beach island which is one of the things to do in Hiriketiya. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay xx

Positive: Mahee House is located right next to the fishing port and beautiful Blues Beach. Maheesha (the owner) was a delight. So helpful and kind. We got to experience how a Sr Lankan family live and work. Great value and her breakfast wa delicious! The dog chorus at night is extremely entertaining!

Negative: Nothing!

Summary: Mahee House is great value and hosted by the loveliest family. We felt very welcome and at home. Fabulous location!

Positive: We were looking for a comfortable room in a quiet location. We found exactly that and more. The family at Mahee House is most accomodating and helpful in all regards - even organising massages or showing us where to get tailor-made dresses in the area. We did a lot of homecooking and were provided with all necessary equipment. The area is very charming and quiet at night. If you try to get away from all the rush surrounding beaches like Hiriketiya, yet still want to stay close by, you've found the perfect spot. There is always an inhouse Tuk Tuk around and they will get you quickly to wherever you want go.

Negative: The kitchen in our room was not furnished with a fridge. But no big deal - we were allowed to share the family's fridge and had access to it at any time.

Summary: Remote, yet still close by. The best of everything.

Positive: Very close to the blue beach in a cute & quiet area, 5 mins from Hiriketiya by toktok that really easy to find. The family is lovely and welcoming, very nice to chat with. The beds were comfortable, the air-conditioning was great as well as the room with fan only. I'll definitely come back
