Positive: The location is so easy to go to Kamikochi. The staff here is fluent in English and very friendly. The food is great.

Negative: I stayed in Japanese style room for 4 people/room. I didnt expect not to have a private shower in the room. It is also my fault but there is nothing to tell if you dont look at the details of the room. Also the room is small and so simple.

Positive: Next to the hotel is the bus stop where you can board to go to Kamikochi. Took the half-board - breakfast nd dinner are very good.

Positive: Staff was very accommodating with our late check-in. We drove from Tokyo, and arrived just before the reception closes. Free parking and the reception was able to book us a taxi to Kama Tunnel for Kamikochi. Spacious room with private bath available.

Negative: Was not a fan of the set breakfast :( It was filling but my friends and I left a lot of dishes unfinished. The onsen was nice but could be warmer. We had an uncomfortable time sleeping, more pillows were needed but reception had already closed.

Positive: It was perfect for our needs, we had the most traditional of stays here during our Japan trip and are very happy we included the breakfast and dinner package which was so enjoyable! There was so much food, all beautifully presented and we tried things we otherwise wouldn’t have during our trip. The hotel is in a great location for Kamikochi with the bus stop just a few minutes walk from the hotel (for both the National Park and Matsumoto). We used the onsens both days which were very relaxing! The staff were so wonderful! We visited on the last day the national park was open and hadn’t booked a return bus ticket for the day after (assumed they would be running as usual but had reduced down to 1 or maybe 2 services that day only) but the very helpful man on the front desk made many calls and managed to get us on a fully booked bus! (Something to be aware of if you are going toward the end of the season)

Positive: Hospitality is on top!! The staffs are friendly and can suggest the better way to travel to Kamikochi for us. They can speak English very well, too. One staff even can speak Thai!! So nice to hear her speak Thai with us. 😄 Because we arrived quite late but ws chatted together during we are on the way. So, they can manage the dinner for us. When we arrived, the staff ran to welcome us at the front door and the full set of dinner is well-prepared. It was an amazing Japan style dinner we ever had. Also, we planned to go out ealier than breakfast time but again they can prepare the full set of Japan style breakfast for us. Really appreciated. 🥰 As we are 5 people, catching the bus to Kamikochi is more expensive than taxi, staffs suggested the taxi which is cheaper and more convenient too. Loved it! 😍 The futong is so comfortable and warm. Even there is no private bath inside the room, the onsen is nice. It is a good experience for our family. 😊
