Positive: We stayed in the mountain view apartment. It was excellent. Lovely view out over the stream. Our kids loved the free onsite activities - rock climbing wall, badminton and balls to kick around. Having a big outdoor space for them to play was fantastic. The apartment was very comfortable (especially the beds) and well equipped. Easy to cook. Warm. Quiet. We did the 6.5km Norikura Trail with our kids, aged 6 and 10. Quite a bit of uphill but the varied landscapes kept them interested. The Kumuru Cafe is located about 2/3 of the way along so we stopped for ice cream which helped give them a boost! The bear bells were also a source of entertainment 😊 but important as it’s pretty quiet around this area. The kids also did the high ropes course at Norikura Base which was good fun and great for a slightly wet day. If you want to use the fire pit at Northstar, it costs extra. Loved it and would happily return.

Positive: The apartment was well equipped. It was clean and comfortable. For us it was a good location to explore the near by kamicochi park. We also went to near by onsen which was amazing. The staff were friendly and responsive. Helped with all our needs There are much more activities there and we wished we can stay more

Positive: The location. The accommodation is located near a stream, surrounded by greenery and beautiful scenery. The host was nice.

Negative: The sink was in the bedroom, separate from the bathroom. The toilet was also separate, located near the kitchen, without a window or ventilation. The kitchen was not clean and even sticky.

Positive: Our family thoroughly enjoyed being outside on the property grounds, playing games, enjoying the stream, and roasting marshmallows on the campfire. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were all comfortable.

Negative: It would be nice if the main lobby was updated a bit and they repainted the exterior, but the apartment we stayed in was very nice and had been updated. A comfy couch, adequate seating, and it was helpful having a washer and dryer.

Positive: Quiet, out-of-the-way location. Great access to hiking trails (directly outside the facility). Beautiful settings. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Great kitchen facilities, as we brought our own food and cooked all our meals. Great washer and dryer. Games and toys for kids

Positive: Great vibes in general. Love the sounds of the water. The location in the middle of nature. The spacious apartment. And the super friendly people.

Negative: Only thing I can think of are the thin walls. You can hear a lot. For us no problem, but i hope our 2 year old didn’t make to much noise for the neighbors;-)
