Positive: Family owner is super nice ! Really good breakfast. The place is well situated at only 5 min by feet (if you take the shortcut) to the restaurants of Ella town. We booked the budget room and got an upgrade to a larger room. We were the only customer.

Negative: It is a bit challenging to find the exact location but the owner helped us to arrive and came to pick us.

Positive: Upon arrival the enthusiastic owner welcomed us with a free upgrade to his best room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and big. Each morning you can choose between an english or sri lanka breakfast. We choose thr Sri Lanka breakfast which was very good and more than plenty. Overall one of the best of our trip. Would definitely recommend!

Positive: Janith the Owner was most helpful. Each morning he provided a delicious homemade breakfast at the time I needed, depending on my days activities. From freshly made omelettes and string hoppers with homemade coconut sambal. To hot toast with real butter and jam. And plates of gorgeous fresh fruits and hot coffee/tea. Enjoy breakfast on your balcony watching the local birds and monkeys. Short cut down to Ella town be perfect. Highly recommend https://deergayuwellness.com/ for the Best Ayurvedic Massages only a stroll away (ask for ‘Dil’) plus best Rice and Curry in Town just next door, at Ella Curry House. Super location with excellent customer service and value for money.

Positive: We had a fantastic time at Cozy Homestay. The view completely blew us away when we arrived, and we instantly felt that we had chosen the perfect place to stay. Janith gave us such a warm welcome and helped us with every question and request we had, even though we were there during an important holiday. Whether it was recommendations for sights around Ella, arranging laundry service, or renting a scooter, he was always incredibly helpful, kind, and honest. Thanks to him, we could fully relax and simply enjoy our stay. We were also lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade and were absolutely amazed by the beautifully designed room. Lying in the comfortable bed while enjoying the breathtaking view of the green hills — or watching the occasional evening thunderstorm roll in — was simply unforgettable. We can truly recommend Cozy. While Ella itself has become quite lively and offers many opportunities for partying, this place still feels peaceful, quiet, and wonderfully cozy. But only a few walking minutes away from the busy town center.

Positive: Amazing stay! The room was far beyond my expectations, with a beautiful view over nature. The host and his family were absolutely wonderful — so kind and attentive, always making sure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. We had some really interesting conversations, and he was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast was exceptional — truly delicious and a perfect start to the day. I highly recommend this place! It’s peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet still close to town — just a lovely 5-minute walk through a small forest path. Would definitely come back :)
