Positive: Such a lovely family run place. They were so nice. Breakfast great. They ran us around in their own TukTuk to wherever we wanted. Room basic but fine. Great value

Positive: This was one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! Only 20 mins walk from the train station. The host family is absolutely lovely, especially their daughter Shani who was dutifully in charge of our hospitality during our stay. Sri Lankan breakfasts were absolutely delicious, great location just out of the main drag but 15 mins walk to all the shops/restaurants etc on the main road. Only 3 min walk to the trailhead of both Nine Arches bridge and Little Adams Peak. We had a great stay and would love to stay again. We were on our honeymoon and let them know in advance and they made some beautiful floral bouquets from the garden for our room with their well wishes for our marriage. They also organised transport to out next accommodation on the coast for a very reasonable price.

Negative: Little bit of street noise came through into the room but this was generally pretty minimal after 10-11pm.

Summary: Absolutely lovely host family and beautiful guesthouse in a quiet area

Positive: Stunning! This was my favourite homestay in Sri Lanka. From the modern and immaculately clean rooms with mosquito nets, to the loan umbrella thoughtfully left out front that I used to climb Little Adam's Peak, to the french press coffee and the huge and delicious breakfasts, to the squirrel playing in the trees a metre away, everything was perfect. Its a 10min stroll from the busy main road, and the start of little adam's peak (25mins to top) and 9 arches Bridge (7mins to get there) are suuuuper close, dont miss either of these. Thanks mr Thushara and family!

Positive: The family was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I felt at home, thank you very much The bed was amazing and the room really beautiful Hot water every time The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I highly recommend this house for everyone want something really convenience for visiting the most important touristic place. (Very close by walk) and knowing such a great family. If I go back to Ella, it will definitely be there

Positive: Exceptionally clean, comfortable and well located place run by a really friendly couple with their daughter helping out too. Very generous hosts, e.g a very filling breakfast, helping arrange onward transport. Lots of local restaurants nearby. It's a 20 minute walk to central Ella, but nice to be a little away from it. Sky Garden Ella is literally 5 minute walk from start of trails to Little Adam's Peak and Nine Arches Bridge. Would happily return and recommend.

Positive: If you're looking for accommodation in Ella that is both private but also makes you feel part of the family, look no further. Thashara was responsive from the day of arrival, organising to pick me up in his tuk-tuk from the train station. The room was so clean and lovely, with large very comfy bed, luggage store and beauty corner (with mirror and hairdryer). The breakfast was absolutely incredible (see photo) serves by Thashara's lovely daughter on the terrace of the room overlooking their beautiful gardens. The location is incredible, in the quieter section of town (but still plenty of restaurant choices for dinner and only 15mins walk into the main section of town) and 2min walk to the trailheads for both little Adams peak and nine arches bridge. A perfect base for your travels - look no further than Sky Garden.

Positive: It’s a small family run place with just 2 rooms , the owner Tushara is helpful and nice but has no one else to help him. The food prepared and served is very very good and was one of our best meals in Sri Lanka. Helpful nice people

Negative: 1. Too many stairs and steps 2. No help for luggage when we checked out coz the owner was away and was painful for us to bring our stuff down 3. gets noisy as it’s close to the road, but that’s with most places in Ella

Positive: Sky Garden is as described - its above the main road into and out of Ella. It's a family run business, the whole family are lovely and very welcoming - Shani was especially helpful and keen to practice her English. The room was comfortable, surrounded by a beautiful lush green garden and very close to both Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adams Peak. The breakfast was exceptional and just ket coming!

Negative: It is very easy to drive past the entrance to Sky Garden (especially in the dark) and it is quite a steep climb up to the house itself.

Positive: Sky Garden was absolutely perfect in every way. My room was lovely and comfortable with a nice little patio in front for relaxing and enjoying breakfast amongst the jungle scenery. The signature Sri Lankan breakfasts (hoppers, pol roti, Sri lankan pancakes, fresh fruit, tea, etc. were varied and excellent. Most amazing is the family that runs the facility. They went out of their way to make my stay amazing by helping me to coordinate activities, asking what foods I liked for breakfast, providing advice, asking about my days, helping me to learn more Sinhala language skills, and so much more. They also have a nice dog Rocky !

Negative: There was nothing that I did not like.

Summary: Ella Sky Garden was my favorite stay in Sri Lanka. The owners make it twice as nice !
