Positive: This is the PERFECT place to stay in Ella. A lovely room, amazing breakfast and the hosts are so helpful, friendly and kind. Would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay - 5 minutes walk from the town and so peaceful!

Positive: I loved everything about my stay at Home Away. I was welcomed by Hansi and very well looked after. She was sweet and professional by reaching out to me to coordinate my arrival. The room was incredibly clean and had everything I could ask for (and more). The space was thoughtfully furnished with extras like a kettle and mini fridge, comfortable bedding and toiletries. Hot showers, good internet. It made my travels very easy. Each morning the breakfast was fresh, nourishing and very tasty. It was definitely a big highlight. It took me 5 minutes to walk to Home Away from the Ella bus stop and was easy to find. I appreciated that it was convenient to get to all the main sites, shops and restaurants in Ella, but removed from the crowd and noise of the town. I’m very happy that I was able to book Home Away and would highly recommend. Hansi and family are all stars!

Positive: I spent two nights at this very comfortable home stay just a short walk from the centre of Ella. The host family was lovely and sweet, and the homemade breakfast was tasty. The room was on the smaller side but this was not a problem at all, and the bed was comfy. The place was great value for money and I would happily stay there again!

Positive: Absolutely fabulous, the room very clean, in front of the room is like you are stepping in a little garden, the family is amazing, attentive at any requests you might have, v ery helpful if you need anything, my partner was sick and they took good care of her, they have a tuck tuck and they organize trips around Ella at any time you want, the breakfast was delicious and location 5 min walk from the main street. This was the best acomodation we had in Sri Lanka.

Positive: Breakfast was tasty. Host Sachintha, is very friendly and accommodating. She kept in touch with me before and after my stay to check in with me and even organised her husband to come pick us from train station. Her place is absolutely clean snd delightful, bed is comfy and short walk to main street. She was able to assist with train and bus times, along with recommendations for sights to see. Highly recommend and would stay again!
