Summary: Room was spotless, comfortable and quite spacious. The family that runs it was most helpful with everything we asked for. The Japanese dinner that we had on one night was superb.

Summary: The hosts were extremely polite and welcoming. They explained all the house rules in detail and kindly recommended great places to eat nearby. The place was spotless, warm, and very comfortable for an overnight stay with my husband and our two kids. We would definitely come back. We would have loved to stay longer, but we had to return to Tokyo right away to catch our flight.

Summary: The staff (owner?) was friendly and spoke to us in English. They had a place ready for our luggage before check in so we could go to the Snow Monkey Park first. We enjoyed our traditional stay. The hot spring is very hot! I only stayed in for two minutes.

Summary: Traditional Japanese inn with beautiful garden & 3 onsen. Appreciate snacks left in our room. Ryokan is 2 min walk from Yudanaka station with eateries within walking distance. Warm & friendly staff.
