Positive: The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Everyone working here is amazing. The food was comforting and filling. I really enjoyed the tea service which offered refreshing iced matcha and wagashi in the lounge.

Positive: Just wow, beautiful location, amazing food, the staff were lovely. Not sure you could find anything more traditional. A really awe inspiring experience. The onsen was soo beautiful. A shame that the men get the most time in the Momoyama section as it is jaw droppingly beautiful and would be so cool to watch the day break from there. Great that you can take photos in the morning before you depart. So atmospheric at night. Not touristy at all and full of locals. Scrub up on your Japanese before you go!

Negative: Not a criticism as the baths are fed by the springs, but the indoor ones were just too hot!

Summary: Real authentic Japanese spa experience.

Positive: Had a great time here. Very friendly staff and great services. The room was tidy and even bigger than expected. Dinner and breakfast were very elaborate and delicious (even though we weren't familiar with a lot of the dishes). Would recommend for sure!

Positive: The lobby was very pretty and unique. The meals were great!

Negative: The building itself and many of the facilities were old. It was WAY overpriced for what it was. Our room had blank walls, but with hooks, as if artwork used to be there but it was taken down? Barely any decorations in our room. I felt we were given a room for "foreigners," who have likely, in the past, destroyed rooms, and so we were given the same blank/dreary room.

Summary: Customer service was excellent, but WAAAAY WAAAAY overpriced.

Positive: We greatly enjoyed our stay in Yorozuya. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, staying in a traditional Ryokan. The hot spring baths were amazing, the staff was incredibly hospitable and friendly, everything was clean and the rooms were set up in traditional style with tatami mats. One of the highlights is definitely the food: this was AMAZING, with spectacular dishes all beautifully presented and with wonderful flavours and tastes. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to come back again if we ever visit Japan again in the future: Yorozuya is highly recommended and was the highlight of our trip to Japan!
