Positive: Wow! What a location and fantastic hosts. The guest house is accessible through a small road from the Vardzia caves parking place (ignore the "no entry" on the paper stapled to the tree). It is a bit rocky, steep and narrow. We didn't need to engage 4WD, but it is a tad adventurous. When we arrived, the hosts started cooking our fresh dinner with ingredients from their own garden. It was delicious! We sat in their garden surrounded by beautiful mountains. They hardly speak any English, so a few basic words or phrases in Georgian will help a lot and using gestures and pointing will help as well. They go out of their way to make all needs met. They are renovating and the new building, which looked amazing on the sketches, will be done after the winter. We paid 100GEL for dinner (with homemade wine and chacha) and breakfast for 2 people. Highly recommended!

Positive: A highlight of our trip to Georgia. Staying with this lovely family. It's located up an unmade path so you can't drive, but Bond, the owner, picked us up in his vehicle. Large supper (and breakfast) were extra but absolutely worth it. A night of eating and drinking (Bonds home made wine and various distilled drinks!) and laughing despite the language barrier (hat tip Google translate). Highly recommend

Positive: I got to stay with simple Village people making their own wine, pickled vegetables, fruit, compotes, and flavored chacha. Bondo, the owner was a delight.

Negative: The Booking.com app will not take you to the property. It is off the far end of the parking lot for the museum. The 1 km drive from the parking lot is not possible without a four-wheel-drive. You must have somebody call Bondo and have him meet you at the parking lot, and he will drive the property.
