Positive: Our stop on the way to Wardzia turned out to be a hidden gem. The rooms were spotless and well-equipped, the hosts were fantastic, and the breakfasts were so delicious and plentiful that we were speechless. Being able to pay by card was a big plus. We regret that we were only there for one night, but we don’t regret choosing Hotel Tsiskari. f it were possible, we’d give this place at least 12 out of 10.
Negative: Nothing needs to be improved. Fantastic place and hosts!
Summary: Hidden gem on our way to Wardzia

Positive: The young lady who worked at the reception was friendly.
Negative: I suppose its cultural, but when I arrived I was met with intimidating faces from the male staff. Two of them came out to me when I parked. They looked me up and down but didn't smile or say anything. Just watched me as I walked past them to the reception. The same happened the next day when I saw them. Not welcoming. Then there are two friendly dogs who hang out at the entrance. Only problem is that they smell awful. I lived on a farm with dogs and have been in the Caucuses for a month. These dogs smelt worse than I have experienced. And you have to walk past them every time you go in and out of the hotel. If this place wants to compete as an upscale vineyard/hotel, then they need to improve their service and appearance. Also, I attempted a wine tasting but was told I could not because the person who gives the tasting was not there. I said I would just pay for a flight of 3 wines. This ended up being 50 GEL which is basically the price of three full glasses of wine at a nice restaurant in Tbilisi. The wine itself was ok.
Summary: There are better options if you want to experience the Georgian wine route.

Positive: Nearly perfect.
Negative: Hard to reach on foot or by car, as the last 100 meters are on steep dirt roads with a lot of farm animals. Adds character, but also a slight challenge.

Positive: Wow! We had an excellent stay! Everything was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and looked brand new. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Almost everything was made from fresh local products—fresh fish from their own pond, milk from their cows, eggs from their chickens, homemade fruit compote, and other delicious local ingredients. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasty. The property is beautiful, very well maintained, and surrounded by lovely scenery.
Negative: We honestly couldn’t find a single downside. Highly recommended!
Summary: Highly recommended!
