Positive: We loved our stay in Van Long Homestay a lot! They are such a caring loving family and they fed us like there was no tomorrow! They prepared wonderful breakfast, even when we had to depart very early, they stood up very early to prepare us some breakfast to go. They gave us not only food but also a lot of love and laughs! They took us to a wonderful tour in the early morning to the river, to see the sunrise and the monkeys who were also waking up. Really lovely stay, lots of fun, lots of good food, tranquility and love.

Negative: That we didn't stay longer! :D

Positive: I spent four days at the Van Long Family Homestay. The hosts are great and gave me a very pleasant stay. The room was large and comfortable with a wonderful view of the garden. The food was generous and very, very tasty. Bicycles can be used free of charge. The nearby Van Long Nature Reserve was an impressive experience. This stay was a highlight of my trip. Highly recommended.

Positive: Lovely room looking out onto a fabulous garden. Very near to the boat on Van Long Nature reserve with free bike to use to explore the area. Ngan and Hiệp couldn’t do enough to help us and they made sure we were looked after in every way. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there and Ngan always produced a range of delicious dishes.

Positive: A bit far from the city, but located in a serene village near Van Long Wetland and not too far from Hoa Lu Old Capital etc. Nice place to escape the crowd and enjoy breezy bicyle rides along the dam (lent for free by the homestay). I like the vibe here, cozy and neat, with plenty of parking space and a shared space for social exchanges. The rooms and beddings are clean, spacious and comfortable. Air-conditioning is old and doesn't work that well though, but considering being in the midst of Northern Vietnam's summer, well 😂 The biggest plus is the host family, they are the nicest people, very supportive during our stay despite many requests (early check-in, room cancel free of charge due to air-conditioning malfunction, breakfast to-go at early hours,...) And Hiep's little girl is the cutest! ♥ I regret not having more time to play with her. Absolutely recommended place, which I would love to come back to when I'm back in Ninh Binh some time.

Negative: What could have been better? Hmm, definitely the air-conditioners 😂 In the middle of summer in Vietnam, it's important that it works properly, or else we're drained of any energy saved for the whole trip. Also, the shower drain in my room was a bit clogged, which was the tiny discomfort of this stay.
