Positive: This a lovely small hotel with only 4 well appointed rooms. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Falmy and his staff were extremely kind and helpful and made our 2 night stay a very pleasant stay. We were staying at the hotel on a half board basis and had delicious evening mealsand breakfasts. Many of the dishes were Sri Lankan specialities which we were very happy to enjoy. The hotel does not serve alcohol so we went to the new resort across the road which is on the beach and had some cocktails.

Negative: Unfortunately because the shower was solar they were very cold. Also we found the room very dark as there were no windows only shutters which let the mosquitos in.

Summary: A lovely small well run hotel in a pretty environment.

Positive: The property has been built in colonial style and is impeccably decorated with antiques. The whole aesthetic is wonderful and the planting around the pool and grounds is amazing. The WiFi is super fast. The food was incredible - a highlight of our stay. Most of all the room was the best room we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. It was so cosy with all the cushions and blankets. Tastefully decorated with local artwork. The aircon was super quiet and nicely cold. Great shower and wonderful toiletries.

Negative: There was one day where there was no power from 10 til 6. We’re weren’t proactively told about this and if we had been we would have planned our day differently. Ie gone out for an excursion. But as it was we planned a couple of rest days and not having aircon on this whole was a pain as we wanted to rest in the room. The manager should perhaps have forewarned us. The food is incredible and the dinner setting is fabulous overlooking the small pond with atmospheric lighting but we were not sure on drinks. The property could perhaps have a drinks menu with prices so people can choose or understand if they can bring their own.

Positive: This was the highlight of my month in Sri Lanka - I have been staying at a new accommodation every three or so nights and Treasure Rock was incredible and far superior to anywhere else. You HAVE to stay here if you are lucky enough to have the chance. The most stellar element of this place is the staff. Fawmy is an incredible chef and absolutely spoiled me with delicious food that was better than many of the restaurants I have eaten at throughout my trip. Everyone is kind, generous, helpful, friendly and genuine in wanting to make your stay special. And they succeeded! I loved staying here so much I booked an extra four nights because I didn’t want to leave. The mattress is comfortable, bedding is beautiful and everything is spotlessly clean. This property itself is stylish and thoughtfully furnished and designed. It is in a great location, right opposite the beach, close enough to the necessary services but removed enough that it is quiet and tranquil. Furthermore, when I was unwell the lovely team went above and beyond to help me, providing breakfast even when I had slept through ‘til the afternoon, making up my bed with fresh sheets almost daily since I sweated through them with a fever, and even dropped off the occasional juice or king coconut in the afternoon as a surprise, without any prompt - they just made an extra effort daily. When I am back in Sri Lanka,staying at this place is a priority for me and it should be for you too.
