Positive: Really nice place to stay. Friendly staff, tasty food, and a calm vibe. Great spot to relax and enjoy nature. The hotel also recommended a competent safari driver, which made the experience even better.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay in the Yala Duplex. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel is brand new. The staff were professional, warm, and very attentive. The pool was definitely the highlight — spotless, relaxing, and equipped with great water massage features. The hotel also has a beautiful vintage van and offers a free shuttle service to the beach. What made our stay even more special was how welcome and at home the staff made us feel. This is one of the best places to stay in the Yala area and truly worth the price. With only three villas, each featuring its own private pool, the experience feels exclusive and peaceful.

Positive: This was truly the best hotel and the best stay we had in Sri Lanka. Awishka is an amazing chef, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our room was very clean, and we even had a clean private pool all to ourselves. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the villa was beautifully designed, well furnished, and of very high quality. Everyone was so helpful throughout our stay. The safari they recommended was excellent as well — we saw leopards and many other animals. One of the highlights was the live traditional cooking over a wood fire. We also really appreciated that the hotel supports the local village and schoolchildren. It is a wonderful fair-trade business concept. We had a beautiful time there. Special thanks to the chef and to the front officer, Udara, who was always helpful and even drove us to the beach for free in the VW bus. The hotel also offers free bicycles and a shuttle service to the beach with the VW bus. Thank you for this wonderful stay.

Positive: We booked the villa as part of our honeymoon trip and it was absolutely beautiful! Super private and amazing sunset in the evening. We booked the full day safari with Sajid and it was UNREAL! We had the best day and saw 4 leopards plus elephants, crocodiles and many many other animals. The lodge is very close to the park too and we had no queues. We also saw wild peacocks and monkeys right from our pool, it was magical. The villa is every bit as good as it looks on the photos, the bed is massive and super comfortable too! We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious!!! It's all organic and our rice and curry felt very authentic, the flavours were gorgeous. The breakfast is also fantastic. Thanks so much for an amazing stay!!!!

Negative: The only snag for us was that there was no parasol or cushions at the pool and it was extremely hot and in full sun. We did query this and unfortunately they had been damaged by monkeys and the replacements were only arriving after our stay. The CEO sent a lovely apology message and gave us a complimentary meal in the restaurant and two beers. We were very happy as the food was fantastic!

Positive: Staff were the highlight of the property who were always on hand to make our stay fantastic. The property is well located for a short drive to the entrance of Yala Park for safari. The property also arranges very reasonably priced private guides to the park - we highly recommend asking for Mr Thisara Nadun - Yala national park Sri Lanka guide - who is extremely knowledgeable and gave us some great sightings and descriptions.

Negative: The water pressure of the shower was really weak. We also had issues with the WiFi.

Positive: Very pretty facilities with a nice room, comfortable bed and even a small private pool. Good breakfast.

Negative: We left with a bit of a bitter sweet feeling. The communication with the staff was good at best. The butler service offered by the hotel was nowhere to be found as was the complimentary mini bar (only two soft drinks, and not cold) or the fruit plate. We had a couple questions that were never answered. Wifi did not work pretty much anywhere in the hotel. We asked for a takeaway lunch which was expensive and not worth it.

Summary: Overall we left with the feeling that it’s not worth the money.

Positive: The property is well placed for Yala National Park. It’s private and well laid out with a range of superb rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was good too. The private pool was attached to our room and is a kind of jacuzzi pool rather than swimming pool.
