Positive: Location was great , Nice Hotel room , Buffet Breakfast was nice . Staff was great

Negative: The Ac didnt work , had to open the window to cool room down .The Bathroom had a sewer smell for several days that affected the room . 2 separate guests we talked to mentioned the same smell as well . Last day we didn’t smell , not sure what is going on with the Hotel ?!?!

Summary: Great Location , nice rooms , great staff .. sewer smell in room ruined a great stay

Positive: The Platzl Hotel exceeded my expectations in just about every way. The staff is helpful, responsive, and very friendly. The location of the hotel just can't be beat - right in the heart of Old Town, steps from the Hofbrauhaus and many other restaurants. The rooms are a little on the small side, which I believe is typical for European hotels, but very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, the controls for the AC/Heat were easy to use, and there were plenty of outlets to charge our devices. The smart TV was a pleasant bonus! We checked in early, around 10am, and they found a room for us - another very pleasant surprise. After an overnight flight, being able to immediately go to our room to freshen up was very much appreciated. The bar area is cozy and inviting, and the barista and bartenders were always pleasant and welcoming. I just can't say enough good things about this hotel. This will be our #1 choice of hotels whenever we come back to Munich. Don't waste time searching for other hotels, trying to save a few $$. Make the most of your trip and stay here - you won't regret it.

Positive: Loved the location, we opted in for breakfast and that was fantastic. The staff was great and helpful. I stupidly booked a day short of our stay, so had to get another reservation for the extra night, the staff was very helpful. We had to get another room which was fine. We stayed in the premium studio, loved the room, the extra door/ vestibule area, walk in closet. I also loved that the windows could be open. The room did not get as cold as I like it( I love it frigid, so I opened the window, bad move) I heard the cart over the cobbles most of the night as the room was on the courtyard, and the back of Ayinger AM Platzl. Closing the windows made it very quiet, just wish the rooms AC would get a lot colder. The other room was slightly smaller and on the front of the building, we had the window open on a Friday night, very noisy from the hofbrauhaus …. As soon as we shut the windows, it was completely quiet..again it’s my issue….thewindows keep out tons of noise, quite impressive. The second room while smaller had everything we needed. Just a quick Walk to get snacks at the rewe, minutes to restaurants and shopping. It’s a lovely hotel…well worth the stay.
