Positive: Love the swimming pool and the staff are generally very pleasant. New year's eve entertainment was good. Maintenance team was quick to act when we asked for assistance.

Negative: I was led to come to this hotel after being told it had been renovated. My fault for not querying more about the renovation and do my due diligence. . The pictures look great however they do not represent the reality of the place: - bath towels are small and flimsy - air con you need to pay for it, if you turn it off after 5min you still have to go pay again - need to pay for a fan -bedrooms have no rug no carpet which means it turns into a slippering hazard when you return from swimming pool - bathroom has no rug which is a slipping hazard when you're done showring - not to mention how dirty it gets even if you have slidders/flip-flops - hot water had issues albeit they fixed it very quickly once we called maintenance - can't remember if it's just me but there's no phone in the bedroom so anything you need you have to walk all the way up to reception - the bedrooms are the bare minimum (bed with linens), a wardrobe and two chairs. No fridge, no kettle (I know it's europe/uk thing but I have found this in other hotels) - on our way out doing our last check to the bedroom we found someone's swimsuit under one of the chairs (clearly not clean properly) - one chair was broken I almost fell off it. Again it was the last day not worth asking to repair as I was leaving within 5min - not one single local drink in the menu - I haven't read the dinner menu but there was no Gambian dish in the bar - breakfast was basic out of basic don't expect to have breakfast here everyday by day three you're already tired of the same We only stayed for two nights following our stay somewhere else due to new year's eve. I would not handle any longer. In a country where temperatures can go up to 40degrees to even have to pay for air con is just beyond my comprehension.

Positive: Breakfast here has greatly improved, beds in bungalows very comfortable, clean large pool, shops restaurants pubs all outside front but no noise in rooms.

Negative: Maybe more modern, biggerTV, s in bungalows

Positive: The location was quite central, We prefer it quieter but our hotel we usually go to wasn't ready.

Negative: On arrival, paying for the holiday, I payed £20 extra paying on card then an extra £25 conversion. I showed the staff this but they said it was charged what was on his calculator and wouldn't except that it was different on my banking app, ( this was not counting the conversion charge which I knew about). I had to insist on a ground floor room for my mum which had previously been approved but not given, of which they gave me one. Overall the stay was good after this but it has made me wary about staying there again.

Positive: When they showed me a second adjusted room, it was spacious, with AC, however, I did pay extra for a refrigerator. And there was daily housekeeping services that did an amazing job. Security checked on me. The staff kept eyes on me if they haven’t seen me for a while since I was a solo traveler. That was exceptionally sweet and much appreciated. And they went above and beyond at a moments notice. I would recommend this as a relaxing getaway.

Negative: When they first showed me my room, it wasn’t what was advertised. Was just two twin beds and a bathroom. No refrigerator, no space, and no AC, but a ceiling fan and it was sweltering, hot. The cost per night was a bit pricey, considering there’s no kitchen, microwave to warm anything up.

Summary: Overall, my experience was very pleasant and relaxing.
