Positive: Wonderful staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and fun. The restaurant and bar staff were attentive and helpful. The chefs were great and provided a variety of choices at every meal time. Special mention to Chef Kujabi. Our room was serviced daily- special mention to Saiko Danso. Good to see well trained and viligant lifeguards present. A relaxed and professional approach by the mainly Gambian staff. A credit to your country, community and polished hospitality skills.

Negative: There could be more complimentary toileteries put in the room. This was not the fault of the cleaning staff but a hotel policy position.

Summary: Wonderful and relaxed.

Positive: hotel located right on the beach, with well-kept gardens and cleverly designed pools; very friendly and helpful staff, tasty varied meals and comfortable spacious rooms (we received a room with a beautiful view of the beach); if you are looking for a modern facility where you feel safe and comfortable, yet intimate, Kalimba is a very good choice

Negative: the hotel staff are not keen on the booking.com platform.... at check-in they first informed us that our booking was not available and then we spent another ten minutes negotiating our package, for which we had paid a considerable amount of money via booking.com.... In the end, everything turned out well, but it cost us a lot of stress after a hard journey
