Our vintage apartment is located in the beautiful Chicago neighborhood of Lakeview with many ethnic restaurants and clubs within walking distance. Try a different ethnic specialty every night of the week. Stroll 2 blocks through the neighborhood to the elevated train to downtown or catch an Uber, Lift or cab in minutes. The lake front is less than a mile away and so is Wrigley Field.
The apartment is the 1st floor of a vintage 2 flat with natural woodwork and updated and fully equipped kitchen and bath. It is comfortably and tastefully decorated to make you feel at home. Just unpack your bags and make this your home away from home. Our beds and linens are high quality insuring a good nights sleep.
An outdoor garden space/shaded patio, BBQ grill and dining table is just out the back door of the apartment. Kind of a country in the city feel. As our guest you are encouraged to use the yard to sip your morning coffee or BBQ your dinner on a charcoal grill.
* Pet Friendly: We do ask that we are informed at the time the apartment is rented about any and all pets. There is a $75 pet fee per stay. We also ask that all pet owners are responsible and pick up after their pets. Additional fee for pet is charged

Summary: We really appreciated the location of this property, which is in a nice neighborhood and not far (by foot, automobile or rail) to anything we wanted to do in Chicago. The unit is comfortable and well-appointed, with all the appliances and gear for living like you would at home. There is a little nook that was perfect for setting up my computer and working remotely. We didn't really take advantage of the outdoor area behind the house, but it looked very inviting. Arrival and departure were a breeze.The bedrooms are pretty small, which wasn't a problem for us, but something worth noting. Also, the place is very dark because the houses are close together and not a lot of sunlight gets in. Parking is a challenge, but I suppose that's big city living. Overall this place has a nice feel: It seems like a house with history that's been lived in, rather that a sanitized, generic, bland income property. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
