Summary: You can purchase one of the few free-standing houses in East Lakeview for millions of dollars or you can stay the weekend at this gorgeous separate apartment on the lower floor of one of those special houses. The house and the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous. The apartment is amazing with its own entrance, a beautiful open floor plan, super comfy living room and spectacular bedroom area. The neighborhood is just ridiculous, with the lake a few minutes to the east, Broadway a minute west and easy walks to Lincoln Park and Wrigley Field. Agnes, the host, is beyond nice and accommodating, even inviting us for drinks with her. This place is a must-do if you love Chicago, and, hey Chicago is the greatest.

Summary: This lovely basement apartment is even better than advertised. A spacious, smartly decorated, and well equipped space with a separate entrance--in a beautiful single family home on a lovely residential street. With local eateries, donut shop, coffee, etc. just a short walk away. There is no dedicated parking space, but it wasn't difficult to find street parking. When we noticed a water problem in the apartment on our second day, which was related to the torrential rain that weekend, our host Agnes was extremely responsive and equally generous in compensating us for our inconvenience. We would happily return to this charming property!

Summary: Agnes was super nice and understanding. Everything was super easy and accessible to cook or do anything as if I was in my own home. It is such a nice neighborhood and I happened to be there during their dine-out weekend on Broadway. Super fun and beautiful weather!

Summary: We had the most amazing visit in Chicago! Lakeview East was a quaint, friendly, safe neighborhood with easy access to other parts of the city using CTA and also walking. The property acceded our expectations! Our family of four had ample space. Property manager was accessible and incredibly helpful with recommendations; beyond hospitable! If and when we return to the Windy City, no need to look for any other properties.
