Beacon Hill is the most Historic neighborhood in Massachusetts. Colonial era, Boston brownstones, cobblestone streets, and the gas lanterns, will transport you to the 1800's. Our place is not a modern construction at all, and it does not have a hotel feel at all, it is our home amazingly located among it all. Although the street (Ridgeway Lane) is quiet, the brownstone building is located in an old/historic and elegant neighborhood (Beacon Hill) - our condo is located in a brownstone building dating from the 1800's - street gas lamps, but also old piping; expect some routine/sporadic home noises/sounds every now ant then. Old charming building and home.
Public transportation surrounds us, centrally located among all major public transportation systems, including South Station and North Station. Blue, Green Red and Orange Line are all walking distance from the unit.
Access to a small courtyard. This is a very quiet street and quiet building. Please note that to get to the bedrooms you need to go down the spiral staircase.

Summary: Lovely appartment fantastic location
Diane J. Jun 24, 2025 06:28:11 AM
Summary: The property was just as described, but better in person. The location couldn't have been better, and we enjoyed the neighborhood and convenience.
jamie s. Jun 8, 2025 01:46:29 AM
Summary: The property was comfortable and had everything my family needed. The location can’t be beat! Perfectly located for walking to historical sites and close to the subway for more distant attractions.

Summary: This is the 2nd time we have stayed here - last time we were in Boston was 10 years ago. It was exactly as described. It met all of our needs. Perfect location. Check in & out process super easy. Excellent communication! Highly recommend! Will stay there again! 5 stars!
Holly T. Apr 29, 2025 12:14:52 AM
Summary: We had very little sleep for the three nights we were there because of the noise of the banging water pipes. The bedrooms were in the basement with hardly any natural light. To reach the basement you had to attempt a steep and narrow spiral staircase. Carrying suitcases down this staircase was perilous. The decor of the apartment was tired and uncomfortable. The beds and bedding were cheap. The bathrooms needed to be renovated. We liked the area but would never rent that apartment again.
Marissa M. Apr 23, 2025 03:17:57 AM
Summary: The location was unparalleled. It was close to the T, Target, grocery stores, and Boston Common. The house is quirky. I would recommend earplugs to sleep as the house is noisy but I would definitely stay here again.
David E. Apr 17, 2025 05:28:13 AM
Summary: Well located within walking distance of much of historic Boston. Also easy to catch a ride share or the T. Well stocked with utensils, plates, and glasses. We thought the spiral staircase to the bedroom level was neat. While not the most up to date, everything worked and kept us comfortable.
Michelle S. Apr 14, 2025 01:56:31 AM
Summary: The location of the property was great. We were able to easily navigate our way around Boston due to the central location of the property. The apartment does need some updating but overall it was charming.Unfortunately we were awakened each night by the constant loud tapping/dripping noise in our bedroom. In the half bathroom there was printed instructions to not flush toilet paper. That seemed odd to all that stayed in the apartment. Other than those two things we did enjoy our stay.
Marty G. Apr 7, 2025 04:27:00 AM
Summary: Location is fantastic with easy access to everything. Communication with hosts was great. Expect city noise in one bedroom and water pipe noise in the other, but both got quieter late in the evening.
Tara B. Mar 26, 2025 12:38:42 AM
Summary: This place was a disappointment. I should have looked at more reviews. The host was kind enough to let us in early. The beds were comfortable, but that is where the comfort ends. The kitchen floor was dirty. The oven didn’t work, and we had difficulty with the lock. The host did not respond to our concerns about the oven except to insult me for not reading broken oven related reviews from 9 months ago. I was disappointed with the property, the response from the host, and vrbo’s response.
