Summary: The hotel was beautiful in an old way and I was lucky to have avoided the giant cruise ships that block up the fjord but access to the floating sauna and train was very good. I'm just really unhappy that the towel I left behind was obviously thrown away by staff as when I asked for them to find it, they said cleaners said it wasnt there, which is not true as I left it drying after the floating sauna. So be careful, don't leave your items in the room as staff won't help you get them back..

Summary: While this hotel is in the most amazing location and the staff very helpful, my “superior” room was certainly not that. The room did have a good view but was very compact and basic. I hit my head twice on the ceiling due to the design of the room and I was woken both mornings by a very loud lady on the phone at 6am in the next room. Due to the thin walls I could hear everything she was saying. I must say I was expecting more. No welcome gift or room upgrade here. Having said that the breakfast buffet that was included was very good.
