Positive: This property totally exceeded our expectations. Hotel staff met us at the train station, took our luggage to the hotel and delivered back to the station when we departed.

Positive: The property is exceptionally clean and the food was incredible. We used the spa as well and had a relaxing view of the serene landscape.

Negative: They had a some issue with my booking. Inspite of booking through Booking.com they couldn’t charge my local card and called me back to the reception and seemed like they charged a bit excess too.

Summary: Nice place to stay, but make sure to get all details correct (price wise) while checking in

Negative: The hotel is not very accessible for people with disabilities. Dinner and breakfast were included but the restaurant was not great. Our room was also very noisy.

Positive: El Mapi is a very good value for money choice in Aguas Calientes. The hotel offers all the amenities and the comfort of a modern hotel and is situated in the centre of the town. Breakfast and dinner were fair enough.

Negative: During all our stay in the lobby area, in the breakfast area and the restaurant the hotel seemed overcrowded with the staff struggling to keep up with the huge workload. Not the best soundproofing on the rooms.

Positive: Central location. Pretty good breakfast buffet. Best modern hotel in the area.

Negative: The noise level. Walls are thin. We had a hard time sleeping in due to constant door slamming and other noises. Bring your noise cancellation headphones! Rooms and beds are small. Our room also had occasional putrid sewage odor, but I guess that can occur when they use septic tank? The hotel is in Aguas Calientes, so I don't expect it to have any fancy plumbing system or waste management center, but the smell was very off putting. I was scared to step into our bathroom. Kitchen staff need more training. Breakfast buffet was a bit inconsistent. At 5:00 am it looked great, but by 8:00 am, the selection looks sad.

Summary: Best hotel in Aguas Calientes that's not outrageously expensive.
