Positive: Stayed in the triple room with a nice patio and view. The location is close to the bus station to MP and the main square. The place is clean, comfortable bed for Peru standards, room simple but accommodating and for the price it's actually fine.
Negative: The train tracks are right outside and can be noisy at times but if you are tired enough from the travel and hiking you can look past it. Yeah the breakfast is simple, like most in Peru and there are other places nearby to get a larger breakfast if you like. Not a big deal.

Positive: The staff was adorable
Negative: The hotel was fully open for anyone to come with lots of moments with the main door wide open and no one in the entrance. It felt quite unsafe in that regard. The location is terrible for noise but as is 90percent of Aguas calientes The fire alarms though ... Plural. Change those batteries!!!!!!!

Positive: I think the staff did the best they could and were friendly and helpful. They stored by bag for the final day when I was in Machu Picchu. The location is really good, right on the train tracks where the train arrives from Ollyatentambo. If you are getting last minute tickets for Machu Picchu this is a convenient spot. The room was clean.
Negative: Several things could easily have been fixed but are big problems. First there is a smoke alarm that beeps constantly all night on the third floor and makes it impossible to sleep. Second there is no soundproofing from the trains, and so this also makes sleep difficult. Lastly there is a lot of damp in the bathroom and on the walls of buildings facing the hotel. The shower never got hot at all (I had two freezing cold showers at different times of day) too.

Positive: - super friendly staff who helped us with our luggage because our room was on 3rd floor - great location right in center of city - room was clean and amenities were good - breakfast was very good
Negative: - only drawback is it's right on the train line. Be prepared to be woken up with vibrations and train noise

Positive: The location is quite nice. The place is amazing and the service from Daniel at the reception is great! I will be back for sure.
Negative: Maybe the hot water was running and it suddenly stopped, but immediately started heating again…
