Positive: The breakfast was okay. A lot of variety and the quality was solid. There was a noodle stand offering hot noodle soup which was quite good. I got a suite so it was roomy. The location is great facing the cable car station and with a lot of restaurants around the hotel.

Negative: There was no air-con in the room and the central air-con was not on. Fortunately I stay there in March when the night temperature was lower but I still had to open the window to cool down the room. With opened window and opened curtain you get to see the sun very early which affected my sleep. I complained to the front desk but nothing happened. This will be a deal breaker for me in the summer as I would never be sure whether the central air-con will be working or not.

Summary: A good hotel for the winter but may be not for the summer

Positive: Perfect location to explore the Tianmen mountain a the cableway station is literally 5 mins walk from the hotel entrance. Very new, clean and well-maintained hotel. Special mention to the front counter staff on our check in day who patiently helped us sort out payment issue! Lovely library at the lobby.

Negative: Occasional smell of smoke, not sure if the hotel is entirely smoke-free.

Summary: Would absolutely stay here again!

Positive: Nice location. Room was clean. Friendly staff. Extra amenities in the room.

Negative: The bathrobes which are individually wrapped are NOT FREE despite being told “everything in the room is free” eg drinks etc. The notice is in Chinese “You must pay to take home”, so English speakers may not realise.

Positive: The location of the hotel is the best, walk only 5 mins to the cable station to go to Tien Men Shan Mountain. The room is super excellent, big and clean, good design, sound proof, great bed, two big pillows.

Negative: Sadly to say, the smell of cigarette from the air con or from other rooms (some how too difficult to control - we understood so we didn't complain)
