Positive: We loved everything there and we feel like home. This family run hotel is just 15 minutes walking away from Tianmen Mountain and short ride from everything. The breakfast was delicious and the service from all of them was excellent. Also the rooms are good sized and cute. So, thanks to Sata and family, we hope to come back soon :)

Positive: I appreciated the receptionist's kindness. She was extremely friendly. She came to pick me up and arranged for a taxi to take me to the station on time, at an additional cost. I appreciated that she prepared me an express mini breakfast, well before breakfast time, so that I could go to the station with something in my stomach. Highly appreciated, and the reason why the score is not lower.

Negative: So where can I start.. I will try not to be too harsh, because the lady was super nice.. But some things have to be said.. The hotel is filthy. There's dust everywhere. It looks like they clean with the lights off. It must be. And it's everywhere, because I was going to be given a two-story room, which luckily wasn't mine, and I noticed that the stairs were completely covered in dust. Then I noticed that mine was too (shelves, baseboards, walls...) When you walk into a room and don't even want to go to the bathroom, you know you shouldn't have booked it. The bathroom window cannot be closed. So it stayed open all night without being able to be locked. As it also does not seal properly, all the heat escapes from the room during the night. The entire bathroom gets wet after someone takes a shower, and if you want to use the toilet afterwards, you'll get your feet wet because the water from the shower floods the entire area. The bathroom was poorly designed/built. Another super annoying thing is that the outlets are from the 1980s, it must be, no plug fits properly, and the equipment is always disconnecting. I was afraid of damaging either the charger or the equipment. The lights all turn on and off at the same time. Anyway, I'm glad I went to this hotel alone and only for one night, arriving very late and leaving very early. And even that was too much.

Positive: What a warm and kind home away from home! The room was lovely and had all amenities needed. The view was amazing. But the best part was Sata and her parents, who took such good care of me. I fell a little sick and it was so nice to have a family look out for me. They made sure I was fed and had medicine. Sata is a lovely woman with a warm heart.

Positive: Dao Bian Homestay is an absolute gem in Zhangjiajie! The house is new, spotless, and very quiet, with a beautiful view of Tianmen Mountain. It truly feels like home – warm, comfortable, and relaxing. The host is incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We were even offered free airport pickup and a ride to the Tianmen Mountain cable car station, which made everything so convenient. This is by far the best quality and hospitality we’ve experienced for this price ever. Highly recommend Dao Bian Homestay to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie – you’ll love it!

Positive: The BEST hospitality I’ve ever received in my trip in China. The owner is extremely kind that she booked all of my tickets for the park and the mountains. She even came to pick me up at the airport. The place is spotless clean, extremely comfortable and super modern amenities. This is the best place to stay. I keep extending more days. Positive: Everything!! From day 1 Sata has been the most welcoming and helpful host. She has gone above and beyond for us everyday and everytime we needed help with something. We felt like queens in a castle. Very generous and very kind. We have been so lucky to meet her and stay in her hotel. This has got to be the best experience we had in China so far.
