Positive: The room was exactly as advertised, easy to find and was well equipped for self catering - I like to cook dinners when I am away. The keys were inside the room so easy to collect. We always like to stay on the west coast as the coastal scenery there is so spectacular, epsecially the Fort Hommet headland.

Negative: The only thing that went wrong during our stay as that the shower clamp failed one morning. It was fixed within half an hour by a friendly maintenance guy who we chatted to about the Download Festival which is near us in the Midlands.

Positive: Lovely position with good access to the beach but a car is almost essential. Good kitchen fitted units. Fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Very small room at the back of the building with the balcony beside a hedge. The only table and 2 chairs were outside (no room inside) but I brought a chair in to sit on as the small sofa and the bar stools were uncomfortable. Very clean and the staff were very helpful when we needed more kitchen equipment. A lot of work is being done to improve the building and I am sure that things will improve. If you want a sea view make sure you include this in your booking.

Negative: On arrival we couldn't get in or find a way of contacting anyone. We eventually rang the emergency number on the wall and got a message to the staff via a call centre. Apparently an email had been sent on the morning of our arrival (while we were on the ferry) but it did not reach us via Booking.com until we had been in the property for 24 hrs. The studio was very small and there was nowhere comfortable to sit during our visit but I am sure this will be rectified soon as the very helpful staff were working hard.

Summary: Superb location for exploring the island by car. In a small studio at the back.

Positive: The location was great for walking along the west coast. Vazon Bay just on the doorstep perfect for an evening stroll as the sun went down. This apartment was great for a family birthday celebration. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal sat out on the terrace.
