We are just off I-29 in northern Missouri between St. Joseph and Platte City.This tiny cabin is across the driveway from our house on flat ground. Our property is21 acres and includes a yard of 6 acres and fields (alternating corn and soy beans) and a wooded area. There is a fishing pond down the hill behind our house. There is also a fire pit to the left (north) of the cabin. Around the fire pit are swings and benches. We call this area Geriatric Park. It used to be a playground for our grandkids, but when they outgrew it we adults took it over!
We have a gravel driveway which services our house and the cabin. You park next to the cabin. There is a kitchenette with the necessary essentials and a small bath with a shower and toilet. There is also heat and AC.
If you love nature and want to relax, walk in the fresh air,or even be put to work, just let us know. We want your stay here to be enjoyable and hope you look forward to coming back!
We are in the country not too far from the Pigeon Hill firing range, so you may hear gunfire from there.
Nearby are several wineries, the McCormick Distillery in Weston MO, and historical St Joseph MO (where the Pony Express began and Jesse James ended), as well as several antique stores. Just a little further southwest is Leavenworth KS, which has a huge amount of history and more antiques, andFort Leavenworth (the Army's Command and General Staff College (CGSC)). To the east is Jamesport MO, our local Amish colony.
This is a farm. If the thought of a bug, spider web, or strand of hair makes you cringe, this probably isn't the place for you. The cabin is clean and sanitized between each visitor, but is not prepared for a forensic inspection. Thanks for understanding!

Summary: Very nice little cottage. Great, somewhat secluded, quite location. Unit was basically new and had everything that you could possibly think of needing or forget to bring. Owner was very nice, helpful, and close by in case they were needed. If it is comfort, ease, and relaxation you are looking for this is a spot on location.

Summary: I got in late (after dark) and had to leave early (before sunrise), so I didn't get to interact with the host at all. Sharon sent me clear instructions on how to get to the cabin, how to get into the cabin, and what I needed to do prior to check-out. There were snacks, sauces, dishes, games, a mini fridge, cleaning supplies, and a wall mounted air conditioner/heater. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. I have long legs, so I had to sit sideways to use the toilet, but it wasn't a huge problem. On my next trip from Colorado to Alabama and back, I am definitely going to stay here first!

Summary: This is a large and lovely piece of property which the hosts have creatively turned into a great place for a family get together. The evenings were beautiful and quiet as were the mornings. The cabins were well stocked and the hosts were super attentive and helpful. For sure we will be returning.

Summary: We stayed here while attending the Chiefs Training Camp. It was a perfect size for me, my husband, and 9 year old son. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed and more. My son even fished in the pond in the afternoon. Neat property! Would stay again!
