Positive: We ate breakfast at restaurants. Not a fan of cooking while on a get-away. Didn’t know rooms had no TV in them until a couple days before arrival.

Negative: Keurig coffee pot on second floor.

Summary: Beds were comfortable. Good location to do museums, etc.

Positive: The bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was very clean. I'm a germaphobe and it passed my inspection. The room was beautiful, loved the furniture. Felt very safe. Would definitely stay again.

Negative: Everything was wonderful except the air conditioning unit in our room couldn't get it cool enough for us, but to be fair we like it at 68 degrees. It was 77 degrees in the room when we arrived and the next morning it had gotten down to 73 degrees. That may be perfect for others. The fan in the room did help move the air too.

Positive: It had that old time charm. Always wanted a house like that. Plenty of room and if you go hungry it's your own fault. The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of snakes and fruit

Negative: If you have food allergies you better not eat here. It's all secondary food handling. Just like home, but with strangers. Peanuts were great for me, but beware if you have problems.

Positive: Location was very close to downtown and it did not take long to get anywhere I needed to go. Not a very busy location, so mostly quiet. The building was beautiful and pleasant to look at. Kitchen was clean and had a nice selection of items stocked in the fridge. VERY friendly cat that will immediately cuddle up to you if you let it. Probably the best part of our stay, since my wife enjoys animals.

Negative: Several locks broken inside the building. Never felt fully private or safe to leave our belongings alone, since we couldn't lock the bedroom door. Bathroom is shared between all guests. Wasn't a problem, since there weren't other guests while we stayed, but would've made me uncomfortable, especially with the sketchy locking mechanism. Unaware if this was a guest or the host, but there was a lady shouting at a couple of children when we arrived and badmouthing family members. After a long trip, it was not a very pleasant way to arrive. We did not see them again after the first night

Positive: The mansion was absolutely beautifully restored. The bed and linens could not have been more comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and had many great amenities. The cat was friendly well behaved and adorable. It was easy to get in and out and the space was outstanding. We would highly recommend this place.

Positive: What a Beautiful mansion. St Josephs has so much History. This home was filled with beautiful antiques. I didn't get the email on the instructions on how to get in ( it went to my junk mail ) and I was driving. Overall, it was a beautiful B&B , but if you are budget conscious, ( Like I thought I was,) it is not the price stated in the booking. After all the fees and a $40.00 cleaning fee which I thought was ridiculous, The total for a mere one-night stay was $161.00. If that OK with you, then this is a simply beautiful B & B. No One is actually there and you get the run of the place, breakfast included.

Negative: A heads-up on the fees: Don't list a property for $110.00 and then tack on a $40.00 cleaning fee. I don't know why that bothered me.
