Positive: Lovely room, great bar area and enjoyed breakfast. The staff were amazing. My car got stuck in the car park with the ice and snow and they did everything they could to help us out, even offering us bacon butties and tea and coffee after we’d checked out!

Negative: The shower didn’t get hot enough, either at night or in the morning.

Positive: The staff were absolutely fantastic. Very welcoming. The property was immaculate. We were upgraded to a wonderful room. We loved the quality of the room and bathroom. The breakfast was superb, too. We will definitely be returning.

Negative: Shower wasn't very powerful. Room was far too hot (even after turning the radiator down), so we couldn't sleep.

Positive: The evening meal on the night we arrived was lovely.

Negative: Sadly we never got to sample another meal there as we were told Christmas and and Boxing day was totally booked up we were not offered so much as a sandwich , (excluding the Breakfast.) Which i don,t think is a very nice way to treat paying guests who are staying at your Hotel for multiple nights. We were woken on Boxing day by a fire alarm going off , the room confirmation said, we had booked, Executive double room Four poster bed balcony dvd player bath and shower,and coffee machine. There was no bath, or balcony, the coffee didn,t work they said they would come and have a look but never bothered, the room was tiny, nothing like the room we were lead to believe if this was a executive double room how small are a normal room? Waste of money and felt like we had been totally ripped off, the staff said it was booking .com that misadvertised to us but if this is the case then they should be asking them to remove the false information, totally ruined our Christmas break.

Summary: Not an enjoyable experience felt like once they had our money they weren,t interested.
