Positive: I fell in love with this place! The spacious room and common areas are very clean. The balcony offers a breathtaking view. There’s a small kitchenette where you can boil water, use the dishes, and store food in the fridge. Within walking distance, you’ll find a vegetable shop and stores with all the essentials. Simple yet delicious Sri Lankan food is available nearby. The room doesn’t feel hot, so there’s no need for air conditioning. I didn’t even use the fan. It’s a perfect place to relax and recharge after exploring the mountains and local sights. Getting to the center of Kandy is easy: take a tuk-tuk or hop on a local bus, which runs frequently. The host is an incredibly kind, hospitable, and responsive person, always ready to assist with anything you need. You can tell he truly loves what he does. He also has a wonderful dog, which makes the place feel even more welcoming. A pleasant surprise for me was that they sort waste here, which is rare to see. For just $13 a night, you won’t find a better place to stay in Kandy!

Positive: Probably the nicest place I've stayed so far in Sri Lanka, on a one month trip. The building is incredibly spacious. My room was so big and so well designed that I felt like I was staying in a very tasteful hotel. I had a lovely balcony with an excellent view. Shower was perfect. The host and his partner have the perfect combination of being really friendly but also laid back. If I ever come back to Kandy I will definitely be staying here again. Also all the people in the surrounding neighborhood were very friendly.

Negative: I can honestly say there is nothing that I didn't like about my stay here. It's 20 mins by tuk tuk from Kandy. That might be too much for certain travelers but I don't see it as a negative.

Positive: What an incredible stay! One of our favourites in a 6 month trip and incredible value for money. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming and the home cooked meals by a lady from the village were delicious. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with an incredible view. The location is outside Kandy but we found the city to be hectic so it was nice to be a bit removed and nearer to nature, and was cheap & easy by bus or tuk tuk into town. As a cherry on top they have the sweetest friendly dog. Can't recommend enough!

Positive: Loved everything! Beautiful property, great room, friendly owner and DELICIOUS food! If you feel the need to head into Kandy there is a bus stop close by. I was happy to just enjoy my time at this lovely calming space though!
