Positive: It filled the gap between a traditional ryokan and a modern, contemporary experience more accessible by international travellers. The staff — Raman especially, and Arantika (?) — was EXCEPTIONAL.

Negative: The dining experience was a bit cold, the food was amazing, but the environment of private rooms felt a bit small as it was windowless. I was also really stressed about timing and punctuality as i understood this was Japan.

Positive: It is an 8 room traditional onsen. So very charming! The staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. They have 3 excellent English speakers on staff and made sure all our needs were met. We were there for 3 nights and each breakfast and dinner were excellent! The chef does an incredible job. Additionally, I left my jewelry pouch in the room when we checked out, they notified me immediately and sent it by courier to my next destination!

Negative: Nothing.

Summary: It was a perfect stay in a traditional onsen!

Positive: The breakfasts were amazing. They were served in a private room and were delicious and beautifully laid out each morning. The staff was very kind and always helpful. The room was so comfortable and well designed. The private onsen was easy to use and perfect temperature. It was amazing to be such an easy walking distance from restaurants and shops. The hike up to the dam was incredible. I can gladly recommend this excellent ryokan! We’ll be back. :)

Positive: The place was very clean. The Staff are exceoptional and exteremely friendly. The location is a lil far but still easy to get to and in the end, you are rewarded with a serene place, and lovely weather even in the summer. The pictures I shared of the srounding area are in the summer.
