Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is the best ryokan I’ve ever stayed in in Japan and I have stayed in a few. The lovely owner makes you feel at home immediately and the place is absolutely cozy and relaxing. The service is so kind, personable and accommodating. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast are a culinary delight combining both Japanese classics like nabe, chawanmushi, sashimi and the best rice I have eaten in Japan with more inventive delicacies like local tempura vegetables on a bed of umami rich miso sauce. Next to the onsen facilities which are clean and relaxing there is also an electronic massage chair that I stayed for way too long 😂 We didn’t come with kids but the place is also very kid friendly as they provide games both inside and outside the bath and a reading corner for children. I have stayed here twice and will definitely come again when I return to Japan.
