Positive: Very nice spot, great staff, easy transport to snowmonkey park, just a few min ride from train station (free hotel shuttle), nice traditional room experience, fantastic onsen (did the public and private), fun traditional Japanese dinner, really enjoyed

Positive: Had the private onsen room, it was amazing, the staff made sure the temperature was perfect as I arrived. The food service was generous and delicious.

Positive: Everything. We enjoyed the hospitality, the accommodation in the traditional room, what it offered and its location. We thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese dinner and breakfast. This made our trip very memorable.

Positive: The breakfast and dinner at the hotels are fantastic. Definitely will recommend to include it in your package, especially since it is a bit iffy on the availability of restaurants in the area. (For lunch, you could still try Shibu Onsen or get something from the nearby Lawson. We were only able to find one restaurant that was open at 1 pm and they close at 2 pm so we didn't try to look further) The onsen in the hotel is fantastic. They rotate the male and female daily so you can experience both sides if you are there for at least 2 days. (The one on the right is better in my opinion)

Negative: This is not really an issue at all but it may be good for future travelers to know - It is little further to the main street of Shibu Onsen, compared to the other hotels that are in Shibu Onsen itself. The walk is probably around 10-15 mins so it's really a non-issue, depending on the weather.

Summary: Love it! Will definitely recommend!

Positive: Booked the suite with own onsen tub. Really nice! The room comes with drinks such as beer and grape juice and small snacks. Dinner was really scrumptious! Offers free shuttle to the monkey park which was great.

Negative: The surrounding is a bit boring, nothing much to do.
