Rockpool cottage is a beautiful spacious three bed cottage at the wonderful Bay holiday village a couple of miles outside Filey
Our aim to to provided our guests with a fantastic stay. Everyone who stays loves it. Please read our fantastic 5* reviews.
The cottage has three spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, downstiars loo, open plan kitchen dining living space. We have recently undergone an extensive refurbishment with decorating top to bottom, new kitchen, carpets, beds and bedroom furniture, sofas ans soft furnishings.
A great base for exploring Filey a charming and historic seaside town only 3 miles away, and also Scarborough, Bridlington and the Moors, York and the City of Hull all within a hours drive.
With great on-site facilities and direct access to the beach, the cottage offer excellent accommodation for a traditional holiday in a lovely area.
Beautifully decorated and furnished these cottages are situated in communal landscaped grounds. On the Complex there is free access to the indoor heated pool, with children's pool area, steam room and sauna. A well equipped Gym, children plays area and small arcade. Tennis court and archery are all available to guests as well as other children's activities for a small fee.
A good pub serving great food. Coffee shop / bistro ( open in high season ).
15 min walk to miles of award winning sandy beach.

The house features:
Entrance hall and cloakroom with luxury downstairs WC.
Lounge / Kitchen / Dining – a generous open plan lounge / kitchen / dining with a fully fitted contemporary style kitchen with all integrated appliances and dining area with spacious dining table and seating for 6 people. Double patio doors lead onto the furnished patio with outdoor seating and a brick built barbeque ( cottage only) Both properties are surrounded by a large shared garden and landscaped grounds.
Downstairs superking bedroom - generous sized superking bed wardrobe and side table. 32” smart tv
The Master bedroom - has a king size bed, drawer unit and 32” smart TV mounted on the wall as well as a large wardrobe and an ensuite shower and WC.
Twin bedroom - generous sized twin bedroom, chest fo drawers side table.
And 32” smart tv
The bathroom is a family bathroom with a shower over bath, cabinet, WC and heated towel rail - ideal for drying your clothes after a day at the pool or beach.
Our house offers a long wheelchair entrance ramp which is ideal for prams/pushchairs.
We supply a cot and highchair free of charge. For a small fee we will welcome well behaved dogs (2 max) and even supply bowls for when they are thirsty after a long walk.
This property is strictly No Smoking and to maintain the family friendly nature of the development we do not allow groups of single guests.
Included in the property letting is unlimited access to a 20m indoor heated swimming pool and health club, tennis and games as well as beach access.

Summary: Me and my family visited for 3 days, the property was immaculate it was like home from home. The christmas decorations was a lovley touch.The beach is a 10min walk, The owner was fast at responding, thank you so much for a lovley stay would highly recommend!

Summary: The property was very clean, modern and spacious of our needs. The cottage is 5 mins walk to the local shop, bar and swimming pool. The beach is around 10 minutes walk. The cottage felt home from home for us.Excellent communication from our host Victoria.Will stay here again when in the area.

Summary: Accommodation was lovely, couldn’t get the dishwasher to work at first but got it sorted. Victoria was quick to reply to text. Let us stay an hour longer when leaving which was very helpful with having a 3 year old and a 97 year old. Would stay there agin

Summary: The property was nicely furnished and decorated and the Bay was nicely set out with plenty of space to play and enough privacy. The only slight issue was that the blinds in all the bedrooms let in too much light. In summer this meant some early wake ups. The house was well equipped though we tended to eat out most days. We tried the pub and found it to be reasonable for food though it was very crowded and with far too many dogs inside, barking and not fully controlled. The pool was great though we only one visit as it closed at 6pm and our days out often took us beyond that time. The house was in the perfect place to visit Filey and Scarborough and only 40 minutes from Flamingoland too. Parking was ok too once we got the hang of the layout and we were able to get near the house every day. For family’s this is a great property and location.

Summary: Ideal holiday retreat for us and our dog. Lots of walking directly from the cottage with pub, cafe and convenience store close by so no need to drive once there. The cottage was perfect for us and our stay.

Summary: Victoria was a great communicator and answered all the questions we had. The property was lovely and we didn’t actually use one of the rooms as we didn’t need it. The location is perfect for visiting so many places. Would be great to have a bigger list of food places to eat and also dog friendly places locally too. That was the bit that we struggled with but otherwise it was perfect. Can’t wait to come back xx
