Positive: The staff was super friendly and accommodating. No one pressured us into giving tips, but we did anyways because the service was great. The resort food was pretty good considering usually resort food isn’t the best. I liked the breakfast and lunch options the best. Everything was seasoned and cooked pretty well. So many options to choose from. The hotel also hosted parties throughout the stay, so finding entertainment or things to do was a breeze. The resort is huge and had another riu ( I believe riu Dunbar) which was right next door and pretty much connected to the riu palace. We had direct access to the beach as well as access to all the pools which had 2 adults on pools. These pools featured a swim up bar which accommodated alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and light food refreshments like burgers, chips, French fries and hot dogs. I also liked the security and how safe I felt. Anytime someone came to the hotel (transportation, uber etc.) they needed the room number to give to the security at the gate which ensured only people who were invited to the hotel could come. It was like an added safety measure which I thought was cool.

Negative: I would have like better alcohol options like better quality. But that is to be expected with the all inclusive resorts. Also, the resort is about 40 mins from everything including the mall, fine dining, airport and activities. So traveling was a little bit long, so that is something to keep in mind.

Summary: All in all I loved my stay and I would definitely come back.

Positive: The property was clean and it’s beautiful

Negative: There were mosquitoes and the toilet had a very bad smell even though the cleaners cleaned the cleaners were excellent but I think the smell is actually from the toilet.

Summary: The hotel is a bit far from the airport. The hotel should be alittle more lively with music and alittle more activities

Positive: We really enjoyed the food, the beach, the room, the bar service at the beach, the staff, the activities, and the shows.

Negative: The deserts at some restaurants and the shows on some nights could have been better.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay with my wife and our children. I strongly recommend this property!

Positive: Beautiful beach, great staff.

Negative: The Garden bar was extremely noisy. Our room was under the theatre and I could hear chairs and tables being moved at all hours, even after the shows. Made it difficult to sleep. All the restaurants are in the same area so it got very busy at dinner time and in the evening.

Summary: Overall we had a very nice stay and would considera RIU again
