Positive: The bungalows are relatively new and in decent condition. You won't have rats in the room although you may see them in the dining area because Kri is full of them. The room has a toilet and a shower with fresh water, and also electricity. The house reef is amazing, there are tidal currents but if you plan well you'll enjoy it fully. The common areas are nice and well tended. Alvin is great at spotting mantas, I had a fantastic trip to see manta rays.

Negative: The bathroom is very small, there is no sink and the drainage almost nonexistent. It remains flooded most of the time. It is hard to organize trips because either there are no guests to share them with, or the sites are closed on certain days, the diving centers are fully booked etc. The bungalows are oriented toward west and with little shadow, it's hard to stay outside in the afternoon. The area in front is sandy with sea grass and the homestay doesn't have its own jetty, so at low tide you have to use the jetty of the nearby homestays, otherwise you cannot swim and the water is dirty.

Negative: Being almost new, part of the homestay is still under construction, but this of course is not a fault as shortly all will be completed 🙌🏻

Positive: We had a fantastic time with Rima Homestay. They are a beautiful family who really care about ensuring you have a pleasant stay and we felt super comfortable being there for the week. Rima is a brilliant cook/host and makes delicious meals everyday. We thought there was good variety in the food given where the homestay is, and there was always plenty of it throughout the entire stay. The rooms were comfortable, clean and we didn't have any problems with rats or electricity during the nighttime. They have a beautiful communal decking area with world class snorkelling right next to the homestay where you can see turtles, reef sharks and beautiful fish. The whole family really goes out of their way to help you with anything that you need despite there being a small language barrier, including boat taxis too and from the dive centre that we used whenever we wanted dropping off or picking up. I highly recommend Rima Homestay if you are planning to visit Kri Island. We would love to return one day!

Negative: Nothing bad to say. There is a slight language barrier but nothing that can't be overcome with Google translate so it's not a problem

Summary: Amazing week spent with a lovely family at Rima Guesthouse right in the heart of Kri Island!

Positive: Staff is nice, they try to do what you ask them for (eg less oily food) The porch of the dining area is nice place to chill, gets some wind and great views Divers the next hkuse east are great

Negative: Electricity is on only during the night, so from about 6:30 in the morning till 6pm, you donr even get to turn a fan in the room on, so the room is pretty much uninhabitable in 30°C (there is no wind in the bush where it is) Staff dont speak any english, translator for everything Food is pretty much all the time the same, not recommending for longer stays. Room was not so clean, particularly bathroom
