Positive: really nice staff, beautiful beach and jetty, great diving and snorkeling- exceptionally good food. . (best in RA where we stayed at 5 home stays for 25 days in total. )

Negative: the bathroom. tap not working (and we came from super basic places with no running water, but paid double as much here, so expected more). shower was fine.

Summary: beautiful place with exceptional food and great location.

Positive: amazing views, beautiful terrace, good food, reef right next to the houses, it was nice to have a bathroom in the room, but it wasn't that important to us. The most important thing was nature and peace

Positive: The location was gorgeous and there were nice comfortable shaded sun loungers on the patio you can enjoy the view and breeze during the day. The food was good with variety. And we were able to enjoy going diving and a day trip to Piaynemo one day, that was a highlight. Our Divemaster was really good and super friendly. Also, the house reef is fantastic, we saw lots of beautiful fish, turtles, and even some sharks.

Negative: Our arrival welcome wasn't very good. But maybe due to all conditions. We had traveled 2 hours on a bumpy ride from Waisai and it was raining when we arrived. We all just kind of stood there waiting for someone to come greet us and finally we went to the restaurant to wait for the rooms to be ready. We got there before check in but it did't take them long to clean the rooms. It was also hard to find someone who speaks English during the day and they only plan for trips for the next day after dinner the night before. Very relaxed.

Positive: We had an amazing stay with Turtle homestay. The food was excellent – we're both vegetarians, and they took great care of us. The rooms were comfortable, and the beach was stunning. The highlight of our stay was the wonderful staff. A special thank to Asrul and Will who dived with us – the dives were incredible and their company was so nice. Also, thanks to the rest of the team who were so kind and helped us with everything. Can’t wait to come again.

Positive: We loved the beach front location of the bungalows. Central to some wonderful snorkelling spots with good organisation of next days trips. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food. Well priced trips if you can fill up the boat. Boats travelled fast compared to some smaller operations.

Negative: Barking dogs were disturbing at night. (though this is common at Indonesian home stays)
