Negative: Sandflies Pantai Tanjung Batu Far away from the beach and town. So you need a car or bicycle. Free bicycles, but they had to be repaired. The Indonesian houskeeper was very reluctant to do the repair. She always said: "It's ok!", it took 1 day, the repair itself only 10 minutes. She was also reluctant to give my a lock and a helmet, although its mandatory. No information about the area and the beaches provided. One day very aggresive sand flies on the Tanjung Batu Beach. I got 100 bites in 5 minutes, itching for days! Be careful and wear long trousers!

Positive: I liked everything. Thought the place is far away from the city centre but owners organised transport with very competitive prices. I was picked up from the airport and also brought to the ferry terminal for free. I really appreciate it. The food was awesome, every day different and delicious. Yani, the house keeper helped in all the ways she could and even how she wasn't able. Thank you for the happy time 😊

Negative: Something what is not connected to the home stay. The nearest beach is in a really awful condition, full of plastic and litter. My plan was not only to dive with Pony divers but also spent some time near the sea. That didn't happen.

Positive: The room was quite large and comfortable. The location and building was very relaxing. Definitely take advantage of the bikes and ride around the neighborhood. There is a great supermarket and a couple of awesome restaurants close by. The host was very kind!

Negative: It is quite far from the city. So if you want to be in the city, then this is not the place to be. For one of the breakfasts, we got a big box of cookies and a banana. It would’ve been nice if we got some real food.

Positive: Yanie is a cheerful host! Comfy common areas with a/c. Plenty of books! Nice shared kitchen upstairs. Free b'fast, coffee/tea and drinking water. Location close to a good size supermarket and some restaurants. Free pick up and economical (10 BND) drop off. (Same review twice as I had the booking in two parts.)

Negative: The reality is far from the shiny photos online. Lacking good maintenance inside and outside: water came into my room during the rain. The mattress was too old sagging in the middle. Cotton bedlinen would've been nice, the material now felt so plastic. The shared female toilet was smelling moldy without proper ventilation. The wifi was not strong enough at all, I would've been in trouble without my own data. One rusty free bicycle still worked, all three need fixing. Would've been nice to know the laundry price (5 BND) beforehand.
