Positive: Great value for the money!! The hostel is about ten minutes walk from the North gate,The best part of our stay was the host who was really friendly, We initially booked two beds in a dormitory, but when we got there she was so kind to change the reservation and she gave us a double room which was nice and clean.

Positive: It is a very comfortable and homely hostel. The room has a bathroom and shower, clean sheets and air conditioning. You can arrive late, they welcome you with warm water and guide you in whatever you need. The reception person is very kind and always helps you. You can easily walk to the old city.

Negative: I would only improve the cleanliness of the bedroom floor a little more.

Positive: Kind owners. The lady could speak English so she can recommend places and was nice to talk to. I one day tried the breakfast and was nice. Kind of 3 blocks outside the north gate, quite easy to find. They have a beautiful aquarium I spent time everyday admiring it. Super recomendable, both Pingyao and this guest house.

Negative: The mattress was a bit hard for western standards, but it's good for your back.

Summary: Best value for money, lovely served by the owners
