Positive: It was undoubtedly one of the most fantastic highlights of our trip to China! The location is truly unbeatable. It’s right on West Street. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they came to pick us up at the city gate, helped carry our large luggage, and even gave us a detailed map marked with local food spots and scenic route information. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was abundant. We will definitely choose this place again next time!

Positive: I was so pleasantly surprised by the hotel I stayed at this time! The location is perfectly chosen—it's right in the center of the ancient city. Whether I wanted to go to scenic spots or eat, it was very convenient. The room was impeccable too; it was very clean. Even though it faces the street, it was quiet at night. The front desk lady checked me in quickly and patiently. I forgot to bring my charger, and when I called the front desk, they sent it over soon. I'll stay here again next time I come!

The location is absolutely a hidden gem—just a two-minute walk gets you to Rishengchang Bank, so there’s no need to get up early to soak in the Jin merchant culture. It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

Positive: We took an impromptu family trip to Pingyao with our family. Tao Hotel has a total of 10 guest rooms, each with a large area. Considering the thoughtful combination of overall software and hardware, the design of traditional Shanxi courtyards, and the butler-style service, it can be said to be the most high-end hotel in Pingyao Ancient City. The hotel is located on the core main street. Since we were traveling with children and large bags of luggage, the boss and staff personally picked us up and dropped us off throughout the process. They even installed a child safety fence in the room for the baby! They took great care in every little thing. For the food of our young baby, the kitchen specially prepared it without adding oil or salt! We are really grateful. Unlike the professional service training and scripts of traditional hotels, the boss and staff are more like family members. They don't use fancy polite words but take care of the guests' needs anytime and anywhere. I recommend everyone to stay at this hotel.
