Positive: Great position at the end of the Naksenda trail. Close to the train station. Owner kindly left out water and ice cream after a long hot day.

Positive: Lovely to have kitchen facilities (especially with closed restaurants on a Wednesday !). Great location on the Nakasendo and close to nagiso station if you’re coming from there. Lovely host who was very helpful !

Positive: Very lovely and typical japanese house. The guest was very lovely and helpful. He offered us to prepare food for us for the dinner so we took a kare katsu and a katsu don with rice, it was delicious. The house was spacious and all the necessary aminities where there. Very close from the Old Nakasendo pilgrim road so we were able to drop our luggages and take a walk for about 2h, walking down all the way to Tsumago juku. We ended up meeting with bears and seeing wonderful shrines and temples on our way. It was very humbling and ressourcing. Loved it all the way!
Negative: Nothing that I can think of. If I had one thing, if that it was a bit "far" (it's a big word) from the train station, about 15-20 minutes if I remember correctly and a bit elevated. We were kinda exhausted already with our big bags and all, that didn't help. It's not really something about the location itself but more our overall experience. The house and host were perfect! Oh one thing though, kinda sad that we couldn't use the balconies.
Summary: Wonderful! Would come back again if I ever have the occasion to walk by in the future again!

Positive: Phuong was an excelent host, a lifesaver truly. Not only the house is great but she helped us get a taxi late and night and have a great dinner.
Negative: We wish we stayed longer!

Positive: Very spacious and comfortable. Very nice kitchen, bath and laundry facilities. Close to Nagiso station and grocery. We were able to start our Nakasendo hike to Magome by stepping out the front door.
